The result: vinyl, Thermoply, latex treated 1/2 OSB, 3/8
plywood, tar paper, 3/4 Hickory tongue-in-groove hardwood floor

This hickory has the most beautiful shades, (difficult to see in
this picture with artificial light) |

Putting in putty where finishing nails were used. This floor should
last a 100 years or more.
I had a dude in High Springs
cut the Hickory for me into fat 1 x 12" planks, after which it
sun-dried for 5 months outside the littlehouse. The planks then went
to B&H Staircase for finishing last August, where they turned it
into 3/4 x 3" & 5" pieces. |
